Madison Blanchard, Project Coordinator
As a Mobile native, Madison has always been fascinated with the unique ecosystems and biodiversity of coastal Alabama. Her childhood was spent roaming pine forests and the shores of Dauphin Island. In 2014, Madison began studies at The University of Alabama where she spent her weekends exploring the Bankhead National Forest. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Geography with Earth System Sciences as an area of concentration and graduated in the summer of 2018.
Madison returned to her hometown to put her education to use in an area that is near and dear to her heart. After working as an intern for The City of Daphne’s Environmental Programs, she joined the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program in October of 2018 as a Project Coordinator. On her days off, you can find Madison hiking or biking a trail, tending to her garden, camping with friends, at a concert, or drawing in her sketchbook.
