Program Lead - Community Engagement
Mobile Bay National Estuary Program is dedicated to promoting the wise stewardship of Alabama’s Estuaries and coast. The Community Engagement Program Lead will: Build and support the Community Action Committee through recruitment of key individuals who can help guide the growth of grassroots organizations and volunteer citizen scientists. Engage diverse communities in supporting CCMP-related initiatives; Provide program development including but not limited to drafting, research, analysis, facilitation, and funding of projects identified in the requisite section of the CCMP; Educate target audiences about issues affecting the Alabama coast and activities being undertaken to mitigate stress on coastal resources.
Qualifications: Minimum of a BS in related field; A minimum of 5 years of experience in community relations; Knowledge of local and regional environmental issues; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
