Program Manager - Management Conference
Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, dedicated to promoting the wise stewardship of Alabama’s Estuaries and coast, is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager for our Management Conference. The successful candidate will help us expand services to the many stakeholders committed to conserving the things people value about living along the Alabama Coast: Access, Shorelines, Fish and Wildlife, Heritage, and Culture, Environmental and Community Resilience; and Swimmable and Fishable Waters. The Program Manager will: Champion all aspects of Management Conference initiatives with a focus on enhancing implementation of the CCMP and building community capacity to protect coastal resources and lead continuous improvement of MBNEP’s internal operations to ensure the work of the MBNEP is undertaken in a timely manner and to better organize, document, and communicate the organization’s value to management conference partners and the public. MBNEP is a non-regulatory program of the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and one of 28 national estuary programs around the country.
Qualifications: Candidates should have a master’s degree in finance, business administration, project management, environmental science or engineering, urban and regional planning, public administration, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of supervisory experience and excellent written and oral communication skills. Database management skills preferred.
