Jason currently serves as Restoration Program Lead where he is responsible for management and oversight of restoration related activities of the MBNEP. As a part of that role, Jason oversees MBNEP’s Project Implementation Committee (PIC), a group of thought leaders and experts in the field from across the region.
A native of Mobile, Jason grew up in awe of everything life along the coast affords. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Alabama and a Masters of Science from the University of Alabama. Eager to put his fascination of earth processes to work, Jason ventured out to live in the pristine wilderness of America’s national parks as a ranger for the National Park Service. In early 2015, while managing a remote off-grid field station in the heart of Utah’s red rock country Jason decided it was time to return home to serve the natural resources and communities of coastal Alabama, a place he cares deeply for.
Jason joined MBNEP as Restoration Project Manager and was promoted to Restoration Program Lead in 2022.
